Come donate to Children's Miracle Network on my cooking blog!
Come to Cooking Up A Storm in Southern CA and you will be able to help children at the Children's Miracle Network through Social Vibe on my site.
I care about more than myself and there are so many kids out there whose dream is just health and by giving $1, $5 or whatever you can afford, you will be changing a life for the better. I don't think there is anything better than that really.
Also, you and your child can look at my group on GroupRecipes.com where I have a collection of kid-friendly dishes that require minimal adult supervision and teach your child how to cook...while creating FAMILY TIME. There are so many good reasons to bring your child in to the kitchen at an early age that I can only speak from my experience.
I began cooking when my cousin Patricia bought me a cookbook that will always be very special, The Betty Crocker Boy's & Girl's Cook book. Though the pages are falling out and it is a bit tatered, I remember fond memories of me reading those books on the bench at school-reading the recipe as though it was a novel.
I dreamed of having parties when "I grew up", which is ultimately did when I was married to my Rocket Scientist husband. I had parties for 50 and had nice houses to have those parties in. I long to have even smaller casual get togethers on a more intimate scale once again.

There is also an upcoming Cooking Technique segment with the 4 Star Chef Ed Schenk who writes the column at http://www.detroiteats.wordpress.com. He will be showing you new techniques that you haven't seen before and sharing his infinite cooking wisdom with you.

Become one of my followers and next time you visit my site bring at least one family member or friend too!
I know they will thank you and I will too!
Keep Cooking Up a Storm in Southern CA or wherever you might be!
I think I will create a Guestbook so people can sign in and tell me where they are Cooking up A Storm in!

Submit your best recipe to be featured on the site, complete with your picture & story
This site is going to be building with each passing day. I just learned how to create the type of blog I had always envisioned using the Google Blogger here.
If you have any suggestions and would like your special recipe to be featured, you can email it to me at: CookingUpAStormInCA@gmail.com
Make sure that you tell me your name so I can feature you and the story behind the recipe as well. The stories behind the recipes we make become our legacy that we can hand down.
